Circle of Protection II. Composited in Photoshop. The base shot of me was done using an entry level DSLR (Nikon) in the snow in my backyard. The idea came from a deep place within me and it's about setting boundaries. ©Laura

Lamp ll. No.2 Box Brownie using ilford FP4 film. I totally fell in love with this scene in my friend Vincent's house in France. In the late afternoon the sun would begin to enter through the west facing window. There was so much to play with here. Without planning it I just grabbed the lamp and started to incorporate it into the shoot. ©Richard Coghlan

Duvet ll. Taken with a No.2 Box Brownie using ilford ortho plus film. During one of the COVID lockdowns it had become increasingly difficult to find new spaces in which to work. I resorted to shooting work in my bedroom and very quickly became excited about making work there. The resulting imagery reminded me of Joseph Beuys' work 'I like America and America likes me'. It somehow questioned what was happening at the time and how we were all isolated in our most familiar of surroundings, our homes. ©Richard Coghlan

"Transcendence" (from the series SYMBIOSIS). Digital photography, self-portraiture, and performance. "The performative self-portrait "Transcendence" was created during one of my silent walks in Sicily in 2018. I started the ongoing photo project SYMBIOSIS in 2016, exploring the intense relationship between mankind and nature, in search for places with a special energetic vibe. I wanted to capture these spiritual moments of transcendence on camera as a mystical unification with nature. The series is a journey towards the deeper connection between nature and the inner self, recognising hidden inner experiences, containing elements of transformation. The silent walks and self-portraits became a ritual on my travels abroad and resulted into a combination of performance and photography. Needless to say, I worship nature and I believe that we are nature." ©Barbara Bervoets

The things you can't say. Dark Photography, Digital Photography. "My images in general usually reflect my feelings and emotions in situations that have happened in my life, and this is no exception. My intention is to express my feelings, turn it into art and finally be free." ©Louie Puy-arena
